Dual Variable Timing (VVT), intake manifold flow control valves with dual overhead camshafts, balance shafts, four-valves per cylinder and high compression help Compass achieve an outstanding 28 hwy mpg[2] highway miles per gallon when properly equipped.

    2.4-Liter engine with 5-spd manual transmission is standard on Sport and Limited.2.4-Liter engine with CVT2 is available on Sport.2.4-Liter engine with CVT2 and AutoStick® is available on Limited.2.0-Liter engine with CVT2 is available on Sport (4x2 only).

    Compass's standard spirited 2.4-liter 16-valve I-4 engine creates 172 horsepower — plenty of power to buzz through busy city traffic or pass on the highway with ease.

  • 2.0-Liter Engine

    Compass Sport's available 2.0-liter 16-valve I-4 engine produces a respectable 158 horses along with a fuel efficient and pocket pleasing 23/27 MPG[3]courtesy of a Continuously Variable Transaxle (CVT2).
