Overview
The new 2008 all Jeep® Liberty with its available Selec-Trac® II, has the most advanced four-wheel-drive system in its class.[1] You'll also find an available skid plate group, telescoping front rear driveshaft that adjusts for small changes during normal suspension travel and newly located gas tank that allows the tire to be mounted under the vehicle for added versatility.

- Professional driver, closed course. Do not attempt extreme trails without proper instruction and equipment. 4x4 vehicle shown.
Skid Plates
Help protect your underbody. The available Skid Plate Group helps protect Liberty's vitals over the most rugged terrain. The Skid Plate Group includes five rugged skid plates:
- Front skid plate – helps protect the radiator and cooling fan
- Front suspension skid plate - protects the front axle, steering gear and engine oil pan
- Transmission skid plate - protects the trans oil pan and valve housing (automatic transmission equipped vehicles only)
- Transfer case skid plate - protects the transfer case from rock strikes and ensures the integrity of the four-wheel-drive system over rough terrain
- Fuel tank skid plate - enhances the performance of the standard fuel tank brush guard

4x4 System
Liberty has two available 4x4 Trail Rated® systems, in addition to the standard two-wheel-drive system. The available next generation Selec-Trac II® 4WD transfer case is always active so you'll be ready for rocks or mud and anything in-between. The available next generation Command-Trac® 4WD system with its part-time transfer case is all but unstoppable in severe off-road situations.

Tank & Tire
The 19.5-gallon mid-mounted fuel tank was moved to meet all side and front impact criteria, as well as to enhance fuel system integrity. The move also allowed the spare tire to be mounted under the vehicle, allowing for security and easy access when needed.

- No deductible. See dealer for a copy of limited warranty and details. Non-Transferable. Not available on SRT, Diesel vehicles and certain fleet vehicles. On purchases beginning 7/26/07
